Get to Know Your Therapist

Hi, I'm Colleen, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) based right here in East Nashville. By day, I work full-time as a school-based SLP, where I've spent five years supporting children with a variety of communication needs. Speechie Street is my way of bringing that same level of dedicated, evidence-based care to the families in our neighborhood, on a smaller, more personal scale.

I specialize in working with children to support their speech, language, and communication development in a way that feels engaging, supportive, and meaningful. My experience in schools have allowed me to work with children who have a variety of communication needs including speech sound disorders, language delays, social and pragmatic communication, fluency (stuttering), early language development, and augmentative and alternative communication approaches.

I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence through ASHA, as well as both my health and educator licenses through the state of Tennessee.

When I’m not working, you can find me cycling around town with family, attempting to train our dog, reading a book at a nearby coffee shop, or hanging out with friends.
